Interested in encapsulating your placenta with a licensed midwife?

  • Enhanced release of oxytocin, promoting uterine recovery and bonding with the infant
  • Increased levels of CRH, a stress-reducing hormone
  • Reduced risk of postpartum mood disorders
  • Restoration of iron levels in the blood
  • Increased milk production

Curious about placenta encapsulation? It’s the process of steaming, dehydrating, grinding, and encapsulating the placenta into pills. Typically taken postpartum, some also use it during menstruation or menopause for potential benefits.

"I'm thankful to Home Birth Honey especially Meg for all the help, care, support throughout my pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum.

Midwifery care is a breath of fresh air where you are educated on ALL options and your voice matters and is heard. The team was their to serve me and my baby and provide care that aligned. I cannot recommend them enough for moms who want an empowering journey! I'll forever be thankful to them for helping me achieve my redemption birth!"

"I wish Home Birth Honeys could be my healthcare provider for everything. I've never felt so heard and safe and validated in the medical world.

You know these ladies have your back through whatever! During labor, we had a change in plans and switched to the hospital. As much as I had dreaded this possibility, I felt completely safe while it was happening. Home Birth Honeys clearly love the work they do and the people they care for(as well as client's pets!). We are so lucky to have them as part of our community."

"I am so happy I found Home Birth Honey and took the leap of having a home birth.Definitely the best decision.

Our birth team was so supportive. I was in labor for 70 hrs with our first, but only 5 1/2 hrs with our second. It all happened so quickly and beautifully. We never know what our birth story will be, but we were lucky to have Leonora and team with us! I recommend HBH to anyone considering home birth in Austin area."

Maritza Y.

"I had the best experience with Home Birth Honey. I actually had way more anxiety at the thought of giving birth in a hospital versus giving birth at home.

The prenatal care was exceptional. I felt heard and loved and honestly looked forward to all of the appointments. You won't regret having your baby at home and definitely want this team by your side."

Bradi S.

"As a dad, I wanted to share my perspective on the incredible care Leonora provided throughout our journey to parenthood.

From the very beginning, she treated us like family, offering warmth, expertise, and unwavering support. The prenatal classes she led were perfect—informative, reassuring, and practical. They gave me the confidence to be fully present for my partner during labor. We are forever grateful for her kindness, knowledge, and care."

Patrick R.

"As a doula, I've had the privilege of working with the midwives at Home Birth Honey for many years.

I trust them implicitly with my client's care. With years and years of experience under their belts and trusted relationships with the nearby doctors and hospitals, they make my clients feel safe and respected having a home birth. If you are considering having a home birth in Austin, I would highly recommend these ladies!"
